Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm

The workshop starts at 9am and ends at 5pm each day. It will be held in a private residence in Troutdale, 20 minutes east of downtown Portland, Oregon. Directions will be provided after registration.

What to Bring

Required:

• iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus. Please update all apps prior to arriving.

• Charging Plugs and Cords

Optional:

• iPad - While we recommend an iPad for processing because it has more real estate to

work with, it is perfectly fine to come with only an iPhone.

Teri Lou processes most of her images using the iPhone.

• Stylus - any kind

• Lenses – any that you use.

• Other accessories you use or would like to share

• Tripod- (sturdy full size is most useful, with iPhone tripod holder)

Suggested Apps

A list of mandatory and suggested camera and editing apps will be provided approximately one week before the start of the workshop. These apps will be used during the demonstrations throughout the weekend. Please consider purchasing the required ones prior to the start of the workshop.

Location

This workshop will be in a private home in Troutdale, OR. The address will be revealed after payment is made.

Meals

Coffee and tea will be available on arrival. Lunch will be in Troutdale as a group.

Deposits and Payments

The cost of the workshop is $199 per person. Payment must be made in full to hold your spot. Once payment is made it is non refundable unless someone fills your spot.

Making sense of it all – Workflow - The morning starts off with a discussion about workflow. Now you know how to use several apps, but how do you put it all together? Several editing workflows will be shown and explained step-by- step.

Practice – Edit a few photos with multiple apps. Combine them in a logical order.

Advance Editing Options – Expand your editing choices using only Snapseed once again. Discover more about the importance of layers, masking and brushing.

Practice – Make selective editing choices with layers and masking. So much fun!

Creativity, Emotions and Feelings

Knowing what editing options are available to create the emotional response you want is what this session explores. More editing apps will be introduced.

Practice – Think of an emotional response you want the viewer to feel – edit accordingly.

Presentation - The workshop will start with a motivating and inspirational presentation highlighting the artistic possibilities of iOS apps.

Camera App Options and Settings - Discover what a variety of camera apps do best and select the options that work best for you.

Practice – Take photos with the new camera apps.

Basic Processing - It all starts with Snapseed. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced user, this session will make you fall in love with Snapseed even more.

Practice  – Edit a few photos using just Snapseed. See how creative you can be!

The Power House Editing Apps - Have you been wondering what photography apps to purchase next? During this session we will explore several editing apps you don’t want to live without. Learn how to easily blend and mask, add effects and filters.

Practice – Which app will you explore first. It is time to play!

More Effects, More Filters – there are so many apps with wonderful effects and filters, so many it can be overwhelming and confusing. This session will clarify what apps should be used for what purpose.

Practice – More time to explore, create and enjoy.

Wood Printing Project - Choose a photograph of your liking to be printed on wood. This is a bonus option for this weekend course. A crafty fun project that will be explained in class.
